Content is king, I guess youve heard that phrase over and over again, but not all content is king. There is a lot of thievery on the net and that includes content thievery. Lots of programmers investing their time on building crawlers that literally suck all the content they can from RSS and XML feeds to create as many cloned sites as they can.

But dont panic as much, search engines still work night and day to try and mantain these illegal and low activities to a minimum. I think we have to be clear on a basic truth about modern SEO: THERE ARE NO MORE SHORTCUTS.

I still remember a very bitter experience we had with a company based on Montrel Canada that supposedly had this new SEO approach (obviously it was ultra secret) and they offered their services to our company for the stupid sum of $8,000 month.
I think we were way more stupid to fall into the trap, sadly enough 8 months later not much had changed seo wise on our sites (but our bank account)

Errors like this are made each day by different companys that are desperate to get some action from the huge amount of traffic search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN handle.

Let me give you an advice ... BE CAREFULL!

Search engine optimization is about a few good practices you can achieve with good software like web ceo and a lot ... and i mean a lot of good content , original content. Fresh, nice, interesting content can make a big difference. Obviously there is another aspect of SEO which is getting enough relevant one way and reciprocal links to make search engines understand that you are around!

Save yourself some grieve and dont get yourself robbed by one of those scammers so called SEO gurus on the internet. I usually dont like to give tips about this cause every industry and experience is a different world but  companys like SEO INC are known to have the knowledge and the resources to achieve such a task (they are not cheap though)

This article is just to give a brief, candid heads up on SEO , there are no more shortcuts guys and gals, just a lot of work.
